Hi! Welcome to Airman and Me - My new Life as an Air Force Wife! Grab a cup of coffee and I hope you'll stay a while!

Baby T: Little He? Or Little She?

Baby T: Little He? Or Little She?

So, I know it’s been a lot quiet around these parts lately and I can’t jump back in with a new blog post without addressing it. Early in the year, I had every intention to write fresh content weekly, and here I am, four months later with my second blog post of the year, feeling the need to explain my going AWOL.

As most of you know by now, Derek and I are expecting! Which in large part is the reason behind my lengthy absence and inactivity. Interestingly, my last blog post was meant to not just spur you onto achieving all your goal setting and goal getting dreams for 2018, but even more so me – because I sure know, the struggle is real. And yet, a list of 12 “fool proof” tips to resolution success is no match for that first trimester. Let’s just say, my goal getting plan of attack came to a screeching halt with the unanticipated emotional strain that accompanied those first three months – but let’s save those details for another blog post.

While I’m well into my second trimester and feeling much more myself, it still took me a while to get back here. And if this is a space I can be honest in, and I believe it is because I created it, and that’s kind of the point, I was a little (and by a little, I mean a lot) afraid after having been gone so long.

What can I write about that would be worth the wait? How about a Gender Reveal Blog?!

I sure waited quite some time to find out our little one’s gender and Derek waited even longer, so why keep you waiting? Because of our current situation in the Air Force and for OPSEC purposes, I can’t share too much. What I will say is that because of this unique season and assignment, we wanted to keep our gender reveal simple and intimate. In order to achieve this and to satisfy my impatient-need-to-know-all-the-things-self, I got to find out first! And boy did things get real! Finally, Baby T has a name, Baby T has a face (kind of), and intentional praying for Baby T has gotten very specific and very exciting! And I am so, so glad I finally can share that joy and anticipation with Derek and you guys!

I am unbelievably excited to watch this incredibly amazing man become a Daddy. He's going to make one special little girl almost as lucky as me.
